FonQ modernizes distribution center with Honeywell hardware and Reverse IT

A new distribution center requires optimal control over logistics processes. To improve these processes, fonQ decided to replace both their outdated scanning hardware and their own WMS.

At the beginning of 2019, fonQ joined forces with Reverse IT to make this modernization a reality. With the development of their custom WMS discontinued, fonQ opted for a reliable third-party WMS and worked closely with Reverse IT for consulting, hardware selection, and implementation.

Switch to Honeywell hardware

Reverse IT recommended Honeywell for its excellent price-performance ratio, versatility, and durability. FonQ’s new hardware package consisted of:

Honeywell Dolphin CT40: Compact handheld terminal with full touch, optional scan handle, usable as a wearable or desktop device.
Honeywell Dolphin CK65: Robust PDA with keypad and touchscreen, long battery life, ideal for intensive scanning tasks.
Honeywell RT10A Tablet: Android tablet with a 10.1" screen and FlexRange scanner, suitable for returns processing and long-range scanning.

Implementation, training, and support

Reverse IT guided fonQ through the entire process, from hands-on testing and demonstrations to configuration, training, and integration with Diract’s Ceyenne WMS.

With Reverse IT’s Mobile Device Management, fonQ gains real-time insight into all their devices via the SOTI dashboard. This allows software to be deployed centrally, new applications to be tested, and users to be supported remotely. As a result, downtime is minimized and operational efficiency is increased.
